		Cesky Krumlov Castle is situated on the River Vltava with the ancient town centre on one bank and the castle ground on the other bank The landmark of the panorama of the town is CESKY KRUMLOV CASTLE which consists of two parts : the Lower castle with a round tower , begun in the 13th century and the Upper castle , built in the 14th century. The castle was expanded several times and in the 16th century was rebuilt into the Renaissance chateau. Later , the owners , the Eggenbergs and the Schwarzenberks, made some Baroque modifications , the chapel was rebuilt, masquarade hall decorated and a new manor theatre built. After Prague Castle it is the second most outstanding castle in the Czech Republic. The magnificent interiors of the castle are open to the public ( historical interiors-two sight-seeing routes ). Konopiste Castle - originally a Gothic castle , built in 1300 after the model of French fortresses. In 1605 a moat , which had originally surrounded the castle centre from all sides , and a new palace were joined . In the years 1725-1727 the South part of the castle and the middle wing were modified . During modofocations around 1750 the large hall´s ceilling was decorated with a fresco Four Seasons and marble fireplaces were installed .In 1887 the castle became the seat of the heir to the throne , Franz Ferdinand , who was assasinated together with his Czech wife Sophia Chotek in 1914 in Sarajevo.Franz Ferdinand engaged J. Mocker to convert the castle into an opulent residence filled with rich furniture , works of art and lavish decorations. The famous armoury on the third floor including an extensive collection of historical weapons and armour are one of the largest collection of this type in Europe.The castle is decorated with 3000,- trophies hunted by F. Ferdinand ( just 1% of the trophies hunted by him within his short life .) Hluboka Castle - The Castle was built around the middle of the 13th century and later purchased by the Schwarzenberk family, it was rebuilt several times. The latest modification in the style of the so-called Winsdor Gothic carried out between 1839 and 1871 transformed Hluboka into a representative residence of the Schwarzenberks. Representative interiors contain rare collections of Flemish tapestries, weapons, furniture and paintings. Ceske Budejovice - the regional capital of the South of Bohemia, was founded in 1265 by the Czech King Premysl Otakar II. Situated on the confluence of the Rivers Vltava and Malse in open country. In the centre of the town there is a magnificent square, one of the largest in Europe. Perhaps the best known enterprises here are the Budvar brewery and the KOH-I-NOOR pencil factory.
